Question #1:
What equipment should they bring along like laptops, mp3 players, lesson plan ideas, photos or CDs or flashcards with Lesson Plans and examples of student works, extension cords, plug strips, video or still digital cameras, pulse smart pens, you name it they'll bring it if they have it.
Answer:
Kandy is right - bring it all: documentation to bring with you and electronic gizmos (cameras, smart pens, etc.) for use during the workshop. You can bring a laptop with you but it is not required. You will start the week in the computer lab at the Rutgers-Campus. John Cloud Kaiser will be the "techie" as well as the facilitator for the aTimpact workshop. He has done a great job so far and I know the southern fellows will enjoy his enthusiasm and guidance for best practices.
Question #2 : how do they get on the blogsite if they forgot what their password and username was. Do you have a master list that you can share with the Fellows that went to the workshops?
Should they email or call Jenifer or what? I'll loan out mine in the mean time to Fellows that I know so that they can read over what we did in the first weeks of Fellows up north.
Answer: I don't have a master list of everyone's usernames and passwords. If you forgot your password, go to blogger.com and click on the link to "forgot password?" By doing this and confirming the email you used to sign up for the blog, an email will be sent to that address with your password. On the first day of aTi, John can also walk everyone through this process and/or set up new accounts for fellows who cannot log in.
The blog is a work-in-progress site that is holding the content the fellows create. The content on the blog will eventually be turned into a website accessible to the public, which is part of the aTimpact dissemination plan. This will allow content to be organized, easy to access, and user-friendly.
The aTimpact South Fellows will continue the work that the aTimpact North fellows started, so the southern fellows will not be starting from scratch, per se. You will be building on what has been created.
If you have any questions, please continue to ask! Jenifer
