Day 1 at aTi Summer 2009

Today we started. Yippee!!! It was really good to see some familiar faces and meet a few new people this morning. Book Arts started with a good review lesson of constructing a few single page, pamphlet, and straw binding books. Next we created three sheets of paste paper. Oh the creative fun!!! After lunch I met with the seven other members of the fellowship and John. I believe we got off to a great start. We spent our time developing a list of areas or a outline of sorts to be explored in our development of the best practices. There was an abundance of articulation, brainstorming, and give and take. I feel that many of us walked away at the end of the day with a much clearer understanding of our purpose. Before I left the Power Arts building for the day, I had to return to the studio to make more paste paper. I just can't seem to get enough.
