How many of you belong to a professional association other than NJEA?

Dear Fellows,

I'm wondering how many of you belong to professional assocations relating to your teaching practice (other than NJEA). Can you please comment here and let me know?

Thank you,

Jenifer

I don't belong to any professional associations other than Art Educators of NJ and NJEA. There are several yahoo groups that art art connected and that I visit frequently. These yahoo groups are often more connected to my artwork than my "official professional associations".

The AAUP, American Association of Universitiy Professors, is my current professional affiliation, but I am also a life member of the International Listening Association in which I acquire a great deal of my professional skill and development.

I belong to the Music Educators National Conference. Now that I've gained experience and confidence in blogging, I look forward to blogging.

The MENC site also has excellent lesson plans and links for music. They also have excellent conferences.

I am also an active member of AENJ. I have attended the conference every year since my student teaching and last year I was a workshop presenter. I also hold subscriptions to Arts and Activities and School Arts magazines for many years. I feel that this reading is a good sourse ideas and inspiration. It also gives me a feeling of being connected to other art educators.
