Recycled CD Sculpture Created by Second Grade Students at D.W.S.
My second grade students and I created 8 different circular design patterns by repeating shapes. They were then redrawn on the computer and printed to create a cover for the CDs. Each student from four classes selected, colored and cut two covers. The designs were then glued to the CDs. The CDs were cut and hot glued together by Ms. Rakosi and Mrs. Mansmann. The students decided that since a CD is round so should be the overall design of our sculpture.

Great idea!
Would live to see my high school kids make a large one to put in our court yard. How did you cut the CD's?
The CD's were cut with a regular large pair of Fiskars scissors.
